The National Climate Change Commission (NCCC) is a permanent, formalized body that brings together high-level representatives from line ministries, NGOs, academia, research, the private sector, women’s associations, and representatives of the Congress of Local Authorities of Moldova. The NCCC is the basic pillar of the Climate Change Coordination Mechanism, which must ensure cross-sectoral coordination of all climate-related issues, including adaptation and mitigation (Republic of Moldova, 2024, p. 63).
