The Inter-Ministerial Technical Committee on Climate Change is a permanent advisory body to the Ministry of Environment and Energy that serves to coordinate cross-ministerial actions and support the implementation of the National Climate Change Strategy. Two complementary mechanisms were created in 2017: the Scientific Council on Climate Change (4C in Spanish), which advises the government on scientific research and technological development, and the Citizen Advisory Council on Climate Change (5C in Spanish), which serves as a platform for public participation in support of the implementation of the nationally determined contribution (NDC).
