The National REDD+ Steering Committee serves as the highest decision-making body for both the REDD+ and NAP processes in Cameroon. It provides political leadership, strategic direction, and ensures coordination across sectors and stakeholders, including government ministries, local authorities, civil society, Indigenous Peoples, the private sector, and parliamentarians. The Committee is also responsible for overseeing benefit-sharing mechanisms and aligning climate-related policies. Its work is supported by an interministerial working group and regular stakeholder consultations that help to foster inclusive participation.
